Photodynamic Inactivation of CoVID-19
Luminnova Heallth is pleased to inform you about a simple, safe treatment which has shown great promise in targeting the early stages of CoVID-19 infection.
Photodynamic viral inactivation is supported by a large body of scientific literature. It is used by blood banks to destroy dangerous pathogens within minutes in blood prior to transfusion.
It is also widely used as pre-treatment to prevent surgical infections in Canada.
German Clinical Studies
An interim report of a 1200 subject double blind controlled clinical trial using methylene blue photodynamic inactivation for CoVID-19 was published in May 2020 by Prof. Dr. Detlef Schikora and Dr. Juliette Hepburn.
The results obtained were very encouraging and received an enthusiastic endorsement by the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Health in Germany at the the completion of the study:
83% less hospital admissions
90% reduction in ICU admissions
90% reduction in death rate
A second smaller controlled study in Germany by Weber et al. also confirmed that photodynamic viral inactivation treatments can reduce the viral load and speed recovery in CoVID-19 patients.
CoVID-19 Research in the Bahamas
Having received approval from the National CoVID-19 Ethics Committee, Dr. Juliette Hepburn commenced a small CoVID-19 treatment study in June 2021. This study confirmed and built on the findings of the German CoVID-19 studies. Viral loads were tracked before and after treatment along with daily, detailed tracking of symptoms. In spite of the extremely high viral loads encountered during the delta variant surge, many patients recovered well with a negative PCR within 72 hours.
The number of amplification cycles required to detect the virus using the PCR test is referred to as the cycle threshold value. A low cycle threshold value means that the patient has a high viral load and is much more at risk. A high cycle threshold value means that the patient has a low viral load and is much less at risk. But of course there are many other factors affecting risk from CoVID-19 infection. A CT value of 34/35 or higher for the CoVID-19 PCR test done at Premier Clinical Laboratory is considered a NEGATIVE test result.
NEGATIVE: 34/35
Low viral load: 29-34
Moderate viral load: 24-28
High viral load: less than 24
So this patient had an extremely high viral load which was cleared to a NEGATIVE test result within 3 days of starting treatment. You can view additional details on this case and the other cases documented during the CoVID-19 study in the Bahamas by clicking on the button below:
What Does the Treatment Involve?
The standard Luminnova treatment protocol involves coating the inner surface of the nose and mouth with methylene blue which is then activated by a customized LED device. Using this technique, the virus can be effectively destroyed in the nose and mouth before it has had a chance to spread beyond these areas to the other organs. Early treatment is therefore imperative!
The rapid destruction of not only the spike proteins but many other viral components stimulates a broad based immune response at the treatment sites - and beyond.
Photodynamic inactivation has an extremely broad spectrum of activity against viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. It can therefore potentially target an unlimited number of CoVID-19 variants.
What Sort of Response Can be Expected?
We have observed great response to treatment, including the original CoVID-19 strain, Delta and Omicron - even in older patients and those with co-morbidities. The most important factor appears to be following the treatment protocol precisely and fully.
Methylene blue tablets
In some cases oral methylene blue tablets may also be recommended. Methylene blue offers a multitude of benefits in reducing viral entry into cells, reducing viral replication, protecting the organs and dramatically speeding recovery.
How Safe is this Treatment?
A report of 50,000 cases treated with photodynamic inactivation in the nose prior to surgery in Canada indicated that methylene blue PDT is very safe.
The Luminnova Health PDT device emits safe, beneficial wavelengths of light. No UV rays! Correct device positioning is essential for safe and optimal treatments.
Oral methylene blue has been safely used in much higher doses over many decades and is on the WHO list of essential medicines. However it is necessary to confirm all current and occasional medications taken before use.
Preventative Use?
Methylene blue PDT can be used regularly or after specific higher risk exposures such as air travel, hospital visits, or after work or social gatherings.
