CovidCare System

The Luminnova Health CovidCare System is a critical component of our recommended CoVID-19 mitigation strategies.

The aim is to quickly reduce the viral load should you be exposed to the CoVID-19 virus or other respiratory viruses such as the common cold or influenza. This may either help to reduce the severity of infection or possibly avoid infection altogether should you be exposed to the virus at home, work or in social settings. 

This treatments aids in destruction of the CoVID-19 virus in the nose and mouth which are the main routes of entry into the body. This is accomplished using methylene blue photodynamic viral inactivation and use of hypochlorous acid (electrolyzed saline) solution. If used soon after of exposure these approaches can destroy the virus before it has a chance to multiply and get a foothold. 

Photodynamic Viral Inactivation 

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a well established medical technique which has been safely employed for decades in many parts of the world.

In Canada methylene blue photodynamic therapy has been widely employed to reduce the risk of infection after surgery and studies there have confirmed this method to be very safe. Studies have also confirmed that many types of viruses including HIV, Ebola, Influenza, SARS, MERS and CoVID-19 can be destroyed within minutes using methylene blue photodynamic inactivation.  

A highly successful government sponsored German clinical study using methylene blue photodynamic therapy for CoVID-19 was published by Dr. Detlef Schikora and Dr. Juliette Hepburn in May 2020. Dr. Hepburn subsequently carried out a local study in the Bahamas using methylene blue PDT at the height of the Delta CoVID-19 surge from June to September 2021. The majority of study participants made a rapid recovery along with progression to a negative PCR mostly within 3 days of commencing treatment. Hypochlorous Acid

Hypochlorous acid is an electrolyzed saline solution which is produced by immune cells in the body as a first line of defense against infection. It is a safe and natural, but highly effective way of destroying the CoVID-19 virus and other threatening microbes including cold and influenza viruses, bacteria and parasites. Studies have confirmed that adequate concentrations of hypochlorous acid can dramatically reduce coronavirus levels from solid surfaces, the skin, eyelids, nose and mouth in less than one minute. We advise use in conjunction with methylene blue photodynamic viral inactivation for CoVID-19 prophylaxis.

How to Get Started

An online registration form and consent form must be completed prior to receiving the Luminnova Health CovidCare System. Once completed you will be provided with access to detailed online instructions on how to use the CovidCare System. This is followed by a brief session with one of our Luminnova Partners to ensure that you understand exactly how to use the components of the CovidCare System, including proper device placement. Confirmation of proper technique and answers to any outstanding questions are then provided by the Luminnova Health team. We advise that you do at least one treatment upon receiving the kit so you can ensure that you know exactly how to carry out a treatment and get answers to any outstanding questions at that point. If additional questions arise after the initial training session, a separeate paid telehealth consult can be arranged to ensure that you receive proper advice.

If you have contact with someone who is CoVID-19 positive, if you have test positive or if you develop CoVID-19 symptoms, it is ESSENTIAL that you contact Luminnova Health immediately for a telehealth consult so that we can properly assess and make recommendations for your particular situation. A more aggressive treatment schedule and additional measures will be required in these situations. 

The CovidCare System should only be used in conjunction with standard medical care and oversight. It should not be used as a substitute for currently advised public health measures such as a well fitting N95 or N99 mask, washing or sanitizing the hands adequately and following current social distancing guidelines. 

Based on the available evidence the CovidCare System may lessen your chances of getting CoVID-19 infection or reduce the severity should this occur. We have received frequent feedback from persons who felt that the CovidCare System helped them to avoid infection in situations where multiple other close contacts were infected. 

However we cannot guarantee the response in any particular individual as this will vary depending on level of exposure, timing of treatment and use of proper treatment technique.
